Thomas J. Smach

Tom is a founding partner of Riverwood Capital, a private equity firm that specializes in buying and selling global technology companies and is headquartered in Menlo Park, California. Prior to founding Riverwood, Smach was Chief Financial Officer of Flextronics International (Nasdaq: FLEX), one of the world’s largest multinational technology companies. He has overseen more than 100 company acquisitions for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $15 billion; the sale of dozens of companies for an aggregate sales price of over $5 billion and raised more than $15 billion through the public and private debt and equity markets. Smach is a certified public accountant in the State of New York. In addition to serving on the board of various private companies around the world, Smach also serves on the board of two public companies. He is the Chairman of the Board of Crocs, Inc. (Nasdaq: CROC) and Vice Chairman of the Board of the German public company ADVA AG Optical Networking (XETRA: ADV.DE).
