Don Burns has joined Pinnacle Insurance Associates as Senior Vice President, where he will be responsible for leading strategy and business development for Pinnacle’s newly established insurance division. Don also was named Executive Sales Consultant for Pinnacle Holding Company, where he will use his many years of experience to help Pinnacle in their mission to provide innovative solutions and exceptional value for their clients. Previously, Don served as Executive Sales Consultant in Guardian Life Insurance Company’s employee benefits division for 35 years.

Throughout his career, Don, whose specialties include Strategic Benefit Planning, Self-Funded Plans, Contract Evaluation, Competitive Bidding and Vendor Management, Renewal Negotiations, and Implementation support, has leveraged his knowledge of insurance companies and their products to create a competitive advantage for his clients. He takes pride in serving as an extension of his client’s human resource and finance teams to help them maximize the ROI on their employee benefit program.
Before his time at Guardian, Don held positions in Prudential Insurance Company’s underwriting and group sales divisions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University, where he was a member of the varsity lacrosse team.
